View Article  MOnday Morning, there comes a time
I had a pleasant suprise today, I did a model and image as a dedication to the lady that runs an online 3d club I'm a member of.  Just to say thanks.  She was really pleased, which was very nice :) and she is now using it as the Club ID.  Which is great.

I've been looking into existentialism this week, it seems quite interesting, at least a ood way of justifying ones own life according to your own rules.

I'm not knocking it at all, for a man on a mid life chrisis finding out that you can define the point of your own life rather than going along with societies or one of the many religeons ideas is quite a thing.  Societies obsession with looking a particular way or organised religeons mish mash of confusing  messages don't really do it for me.

So I get to define my own point :) how great is that.

I found Mark Wilkinsons page on deviantart today, I've loved his work since I bought Script for a Jesters Tear.

Well that was fun, visited Dad in his new place and it's really nice.  Very small but it's big enough for him especially as he almost lives in his studio.  Tuned his tv in for him :) I'm so jealous it's a really lovely tv.  Got to show him some of my digital artwork which he liked alot (though I suspect he is biased).

Played Poker Saturday night, with some ultra competetive German friends of mine.  PLayed 6 lost 3 (2 very badly) won 3 (spectacularly) typical of me, boom or bust.

Satisfied my creative needs by creating a base figure to work with in ZBrush and creating a new tutorial on rigging.

View Article  It's the weekend

It's the weekend and I'm feeling fine :)  This is not always the case but I had a chat with our head of Finance yesterday and he put my mind at rest.  I suffer from Anxiety syndrome and work always is a big worry for me.

So the weekend stretches ahead of me, I'm off to see my Dad it a short while then it's working on Zbrush and a movie or two all the way.

Well that's Thursday over with, and I'm feeling pretty good.  I'm not an optomist by nature but I'm trying quite hard to be one.  The only drawback seems to be the people who seem to delight in their own misery, and seem to be happier when they are spreading their own misery around a bit.

Just when I think I'm getting a handle on it someone turns on the muck spreader.  It's not back to square one but it takes some time to clean off :)

Oh and don't get me started on the people who think it's fun to wind you up, in what universe is that funny?

View Article  More Updating

More website updating today, added a new gallery "Stuff and Nonsense" and added a movie file to the front page.  Now I'm trying to figure out how to create a loader in flash.

But it's bedtime now :)

Ok a new blog and updated my website, all in one day, it's a minor miracle.  If you have a moment or two I've posted quite a nice video under the images section, showing start to finish modelling of an monster style head.

I'm quite pleased with the flash gallery too (big head under images), I'm biased but I think it looks good.  I'm going to do another tommorow.

View Article  Starting a Blog

Well I finally jumped on the bandwagon to see if I could actually maintain it, if nothing else.  I always suspected that I would approach a blog in the same way as I approach a diary I got for christmas.  It always seems like a good idea at the time but it doesn't take long to fall into disuse.

So what is on my brain today? Too many things to count but ZBrush 3 is upper in my mind.  What a program, digital clay, who'd have thought it? and more importantly who'd have thought I could make something reasonably good with it.  I've been practising over the weekend and have a couple of creditable female heads and a full torso to show for it.  Now if only i could work out hair oh and hands of course.

The link below is an earlier attempt of a male head, which I was quite pleased with.  It could do with some more fine detail but hey...

The Baron

This one was done completely in ZB3,

Depression

So that's the first entry, hopefully they will improve
